This notice is for visitors planning to stay overnight in Iiyama City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nagano Prefecture will introduce a new Accommodation Tax<\/strong> starting Monday, June 1, 2026<\/strong>.
The tax will be used to fund tourism promotion initiatives, including the enhancement of tourism resources and improvements to the visitor environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u3010Overview of the Accommodation Tax\u3011<\/strong>
\u25c6Effective Date: From June 1, 2026
\u25c6Who Is Subject to the Tax:
Guests staying at accommodations in Nagano Prefecture, including ryokan, hotels, simple lodging facilities, and private lodging (minpaku)
\u25c6Tax Amount:
For accommodation charges of 6,000 yen or more per person per night (room-only rate, excluding tax):
\u30fb200 yen per person per night (for the first three years after implementation)<\/strong>
\u30fb300 yen per person per night (from 2029 onward)<\/strong>
\u203bAccommodation charges of less than 6,000 yen per person per night are not subject to the accommodation tax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The accommodation tax will be collected by accommodation facilities from guests and remitted to Nagano Prefecture.
