Based around works by artists from or associated with Iiyama, the museum displays around 70 paintings and sculptures. The works of around 10 artists are held as part of the museum's permanent collection.This comprehensive collection includes pieces spanning the career of painter Seicho Hasegawa, a member of the Nihon Bijutsuin (Japan Academy of Art). Many of these works are strongly rooted in the climate and natural features of Iiyama. Visitors to the museum are sure to encounter works that stir the heart.
