The museum displays about 100 pieces at a time, all hand crafted by the celebrated artist Mayumi Takahashi. Based on careful study of local people, Takahashi's dolls wear entirely human expressions, creating heartwarming scenes of the bonds between family and friends. In one corner, a special video offers a look into the craftsmanship behind these works of art.
